This season has had us eating well so far, and both aired episodes have been very high quality. This show is the closest thing to a western comic book adaptation in anime, and if you were a fan of that style, you probably have a soft spot for this show. As the show shifts more and more towards the genre of storytelling that it is based on, comic books, it sets itself apart from most other anime in this genre. The aesthetic of the show is one I am a huge fan of. This also provided a lot of fuel to KamiJirou fans, which I’m not entirely opposed to. He has long been a comic relief character in the show giving him some weight and responsibilities was a great idea. Mirko’s battle with Nemus was a shining example of this, as well as the displays of strength from Endeavor and Eraserhead. This episode did wonders with displaying that all was not lost and that despite not being as many as the villains, the Heroes had more than enough strength to take down the forces of evil. The villains kept gaining ground on the heroes as the show progressed, and especially since All Might retired, they have overpowered the heroes at every point. There has long been a discussion of the two opposing sides in this show being vastly incomparable in strength. Not only was watching her fight extremely fun, but she also displayed the true spirit of the show- courage in the face of extreme danger. This was her time to shine and showcase that she deserves this attention by being a spectacular Hero, which is exactly what she did. She only came into view at the end of Season 4 and immediately became a fan-favourite for multiple reasons, most of which related to her being a beautiful and buff woman with a unique charisma emanating from her at all times. My Hero Academia is based on the manga series of the same name by Kouhei Horikoshi, and the anime is produced by Studio Bones, which is also is also known for working on anime like Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Mob Psycho, so you know that My Hero Academia is in outstanding company.
